I just noticed a really cool iPhone feature that I haven’t seen mentioned anywhere: it automatically adjusts the volume based on the device plugged into the headphone port. When I plug in my earbuds during the week, I’m at my desk at work, where I keep it at around 25%. Then I get in my car and plug it into my FM transmitter, which I like to keep at around 75%. The iPhone somehow detects the device and adjusts the volume to its previous level automatically. Hot.
