To create five flash cards, each with a term from our graphic design textbook. Each student was given these five words randomly. The flash cards from all students should follow the same visual system, so that they can be combined into a single package that would accompany the book.
process
Fun and educational. We began with a series of class meetings to agree on consistent elements for each card. For the front, we chose a colored stripe to represent the chapter (and topic as well) of the term, along with an abstract pictorial clue. For the back we all decided on a template and used it for each card. I suggested what became the typography on the backs (font, size, placement).
