Being a video service provider, VidCaster needs a world-class video player, and thanks to the amazing open source VideoJS, we have one. The player is HTML5 by default and it uses the latest video standards, like the JavaScript Fullscreen API. The VidCaster player is also heavily customized, including:

• View and play event tracking for Google Analytics
• Sharing options within the player
• Video name and category for embedded videos
• Integrations with LiveRail and Brainient for advertising

In the near future we’ll take advantage of how easy it is to make new themes for VideoJS, and provide options for our users to easily style the player however they want with CSS.
